OSHA Safe + Sound Week Puts the Focus on Safety Culture

While we know workplace safety is a year-round concern, it’s important to continually take ample time to recognize, strengthen, and reward safety culture. OSHA’s annual Safe + Sound Week is an excellent opportunity to do just that with your team.

Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held annually; this year’s event will take place August 9-15, 2021. It recognizes the successes of workplace safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep workers safe. To participate in the event, companies can register through the OSHA site, plan and promote events for the week, and recognize their companies participation when the event has concluded. Registration includes access to downloadable certificates of recognition and other unique rewards.

Safe + Sound Week promotes health and safety across all aspects of the workplace, combining leadership, management, and workers’ efforts to create a holistic safety culture. Registration also gives you access to a number of resources to help grow your safety program, such as webinars, checklists, and safety literature. These resources are focused on four areas: general overview, management leadership, worker participation, and finding and fixing safety issues.

Safe + Sound Week is an ideal opportunity to strengthen an existing safety program or get a new one off the ground, and NBIS is proud to support this week-long safety initiative.
